Join us for a free community event to celebrate Kingston’s historic candle factory and candle shop. The light procession will start from the site of the candle shop in Kingston Market Place, where we will gather to tell the story of Kingston’s lamplighter. This will be followed by the opportunity to make your own lantern to take on the procession to Kingston Museum’s Green, and hang your lantern on the giant lantern structure there.
No registration required, simply meet at Market Square at 17:15 to listen to the tale of the lamplighter and take part. Feel free to bring electric torches or candles, but no naked flames.

17:15 - Lamplighter story reading followed by lantern making workshop
