IMPORTANT DATES:
DEADLINE TO DECLARE YOUR INTENT to Feb. 22, 2026 (Sunday).
ALL RESEARCH PAPER DRAFTS are due at 11:59pm on Mar. 29, 2026 (Sunday).
ALL FINAL RESEARCH PAPERS AND DOCUMENTATION are due at 11:59pm on Apr. 5, 2026 (Sunday).
ENTRY TYPES:
You may enter the Championship in the following ways:
Full Entry, presenting 3 different Entries (this is the only entry level competing for the Championship)
Single Entry, presenting 1 or 2 Entries
Display for Feedback Only, presenting 1 or 2 Entries
FULL ENTRIES (CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRIES): You must be a PAID MEMBER of the SCA to enter the Championship, and be willing to commit to a full year as Champion, including at minimum attending Kingdom events as you are able to support Their Majesties at court etc. As Champion, your site fees will be waived at all Kingdom events during your term.
WHAT TO ENTER:
Entries can include objects, the “process/es” of making an object, experimental archeology items, performances, written compositions, pure research and research papers.

TENATIVE SCHEDULE:
** SATURDAY will be the main day of presentations/judging.
** SUNDAY AM will see the TOP 2-3 ENTRANTS (depending on scores) present one of their pieces for the Crown and populace, after which a winner will be declared.
NON-CHAMPIONSHIP RECOGNITION:
ALL judged entries (not feedback only entries) are eligible for the SABLE BONNET award (for the highest scoring entry) and the SCHOLAR OF AN TIR award (awarded to any entry that scores over 80%).
