King of 94 IX - NHL '94 Tournament

Starting August 1st, you can register for Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo to win cash prizes and the title of King of '94! Click on the image at the top of the page for a quick explainer video about the tournament.

Plus, we are bringing back the "Auto Goalie" tournament that we last had in 2019. This is intended for newer or casual players, and those that grew up playing with the Auto Goalie setting enabled.

The event is hosted at FreePlay Toronto on College Street. There is no age restriction. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Plus, the venue has Chexx Bubble Hockey and many arcade games to play after your tournament, which are all free to play! Including the following titles:

• Hit The Ice Hockey (4 Player)
• NHL 2on2 Challenge Hockey (4 Player)
• Here's the list of 30+ arcade games!

Saturday, September 28

Main Event:

• 11am~7pm: Sega Genesis King of 94 - Guaranteed 8 games (eligible for all door prizes and cash prizes)

Side Events:

• 11am~5pm: Sega Genesis - Auto Goalie - Guaranteed 8 games (eligible for all door prizes)

• 8pm~11pm: Sega Genesis - 2 V 2 (included with your registration) - format TBD

• 8pm~11pm: Super Nintendo - 2 V 2 (included with your registration) - format TBD

Sunday, September 29 (Main Event):

• 11am~7pm: Super Nintendo - King of 94 - Guaranteed 8 games (eligible for all door prizes and cash prizes)

Side Event:

• 11am~5pm: Super Nintendo - Auto Goalie - Guaranteed 8 games (eligible for all door prizes)

Registration fees will cover expenses, venue fees, cash prizes, and other prizes.

Yes. Only one tournament per console.

No. They are played concurrently so you are restricted to one tournament per day.
