Join us as we mark Somerset Day with reenactors from Draca Beordor who will be bringing the site to life, and take part in children’s activities exploring life in Saxon Somerset. Have a go at striking an Alfred coin, follow the Alfred Art Trail, learn to write in the style of King Alfred and dress up like a Saxon for a selfie in the longhall.
You can also explore the reconstructions such as our Anglo-Saxon longhall and Roman dining-room that are filled with hand crafted furniture and art.
