Welcome to the forth fortnightly Autumn night/evening social walk. For this walk, we'll meet at the main entrance to Kindra State Forest on Lewis Street at 7.30PM.
Kids are welcome - we've selected a Friday evening to encourage young ones to get involved if they're interested.
Bring your torch and binoculars, we hope to see you there!
What we're listening/looking for:
We'll take a self guided walk through the forest in looking and listening out for nocturnal wildlife including birds, mammals and frogs.
Duration:
As it's self-guided, you can walk for as long or as little as you like.
We anticipate to be at the forest for at least half an hour, up to about two hours.
Difficulty & Accessibility notes:
The main cohort is likely to loosely follow the main track from the main entrance that runs alongside the fence for the sports fields/golf course.
There is a narrow gate which may be difficult for prams/mobility aids etc to navigate, as well as uneven ground & trip hazards.
Recommended gear:
Torch (red light if you've got one)
Binoculars
Camera
Water
Snacks
Insect repellent
Personal first aid kit if you've got one
Recommended clothing:
