Join us for our first-ever Kindergarten Signing Day! 🎉We're excited to welcome our newest Warriors and Wolves to Kindergarten Signing Day — a free event for students entering transitional kindergarten (TK) or kindergarten in the 2026–27 school year.
Whether you live inside the District boundaries or are considering open enrollment, all families with students who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 15, 2026, are invited! This event is for ALL students who are considering Waukee CSD for TK/kindergarten, regardless of which school your child will attend.
Families can:
➤ Enroll your child in TK or kindergarten by dropping off the required paperwork.
➤ Find in-person support from the District’s enrollment team.
➤Talk to an elementary principal and kindergarten teacher.
➤ See the kindergarten classrooms and other learning spaces at Maple Grove Elementary.
Incoming kindergarteners can:
➤ Enjoy fun activities around the school, such as bounce houses, face painting, coloring, and temporary tattoos.
➤ Play in the STEAM Lab.
➤ Meet the Waukee High School and Northwest High School mascots.
➤ Participate in a “signing” ceremony and take home an official certificate.
➤ Take a photo with mini graduation caps and gowns.
➤ Get exclusive prizes, including a free ticket for an upcoming Waukee Warriors or Northwest Wolves basketball game.
Our goal is to make the transition to kindergarten feel fun and reassuring — whether Waukee CSD is already your choice or you’re simply exploring what’s right for your child. We hope you join us for a memorable day!
