Kin Ethiopia” marks the inaugural international cultural tour launching its first international leg inBeijing, China, from July 21–27, 2025, marking a historic milestone in Ethiopia’s global cultural
outreach. Organized by Shakura Production in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Sports,
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing , the tour aimed to showcase
Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage through traditional music, dance , fashion, circus, and coffee
ceremonies. The delegation captivated audiences at three major performances at the Capital Library
of China, the Ethiopian Embassy, and in Baoding, Dingzhou reaching over 2,200 guests including
Chinese officials, foreign diplomats, local citizens, and the Ethiopian diaspora. A symbolic visit to the
Great Wall of China further extended Ethiopia’s cultural presence, as the team continued to engage
with international tourists through spontaneous singing and traditional dress. The tour generated
significant media coverage, fostered diplomatic goodwill, and opened new opportunities for future
cultural collaborations. The success of the Beijing leg set a powerful tone for upcoming stops in
Russia, Brazil, and South Africa, reinforcing Ethiopia’s cultural diplomacy and soft power on the
global stage.
