                    Join the Killeen Garden Club for our next meeting, where our presenter will be Dave Slaughter of the Bell County Master Gardeners.Mr. Slaughter will tell us all about what it takes to become a certified Master Gardener. Whether you are interested in becoming one yourself, or you would just like a deeper appreciation for the Master Gardeners of our community, you will find this presentation interesting. He may also tell us about the Community Garden the Bell County Master Gardeners have right here in Killeen, and all the produce from their garden goes to local food banks.
If you're interested, join us to hear the presentation. No requirement to join. Our social half-hour is from 9am to 9:30. Followed by our presentation which is followed by our business meeting. Light refreshments are provided.
Membership is open to anyone who is interested in gardening and nature. You do not need to be a senior citizen or member of the senior center to join -- that's just where we have meeting space. There is no requirement that you have a garden or pretty yard or participate in a flower show. All you need is an interest in gardening and desire to make some new friends.
Membership dues are $20 a year if you choose to join.
Killeen Garden Club is a member of Texas Garden Clubs, Inc. which is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
