Hello all.Entries are now being taken for the upcoming 2025 King 🎰 casinos Kilkenny pool championships to be held in Portlaoise pool hall R32KT9D, starting at 7pm on Friday the 25th of April and finishing on Sunday the 27th of April.
Entry fees - Adults €30
Under 23s & OAPs = €20
Under 15s = €10
Tournament format:
Maximum of 8 groups.
1 Seed drawn per group from the final ranking standings of 24/25.
The top 2 players from each group qualify for the main knockouts on Sunday morning.
The 3rd and 4th placed player will qualify for the shield last 16 on Sunday morning race to 5 all the way to the final.
3rd vs. 4th, no 2 players from the same group drawn against each other.
The knockout draw will be 1st vs. 2nd, no 2 players from 1 group drawn against each other, and We will follow a ladder all the way to the final.
Races to 6 in last 16 + quarter finals, race to 7 in semis and race to 8 in the final.
All group matches will be the best of 5.
Groups decided by points won ( 2 points per win), frame difference, frames won, frames lost, head to head, and 6 red shootouts.

Friday 7 - 10/10:30pm
Saturday morning 9 - 12pm
Saturday afternoon 12 - 3pm
Last year's main event winner was Noel O'Sullivan, while
Benny O'Brien finished as the main runner - up
Arron Cooke finished as runner-up to Paul Levins in the shield event!
Prize money: winner of the main event €250,
Runner - up €120
Shield winner - €90
Runner up - €30
This tournament is only for players currently eligible to play For Kilkenny.
