Our summer season continues on Saturday, August 27 with 4 wonderful artists from various parts of Europe, including Microcorps and Maja Ratkje plus a couple of surprises that will be announced later this year.
After the sold out Kiezsalon last year at the iconic former industrial factory , we are extremely happy to return again in 2022. This impressively vast turbine hall is a quintessentially Berlin venue located in Oberschöneweide in the district of Treptow-Köpenick.
Once part of AEG (General Electricity Company), this impressive 3000 square meter space has a 12-meter ceiling and is Germany’s oldest listed three-phase power plant; the historical patina is visible throughout. Check out some photos of it from previous concerts .
Londoner Alex Tucker’s new project explores electronics, cello and voice, blurring the lines between human and humanoid as he investigates how language can alter perception. His debut album as Microcorps, XMIT, is ”an entire universe inhabited by strange figures, part human and part machine“ ().
Norwegian vocalist is no stranger to our followers; her performance at the 2017 MADEIRADiG festival was a highlight for Germany’s Rolling Stone Magazine (as was the festival itself—read for yourself ). Her incredible and diverse vocal and composition talents have won her the coveted Edvard Prize (Norway), as well as honours from UNESCO and the International Rostrum of Composers in Paris.
