KIERAN BROWN QUARTET

FEATURING:

KIERAN BROWN (FROM NYC) - VOCALS // JON MCCASLIN - DRUMS // CHRIS TAUCHNER - PIANO // JEFF GAMMON - ACOUSTIC BASS

“The album’s real strength lies in its balance: Brown is the star and the collaborator, the interpreter and the arranger, the student of the tradition and the creative force building its next branch. She’s surrounded herself with musicians and producers who understand that a debut should honor the past and signal the future. Every track here feels like it was built with purpose. Brown is a well-rounded artist with long-haul potential. Loving You is a very strong debut album.” - The Jazz Word

Kieran Brown is a New York City based multi-genre vocalist, composer, and arranger with a strong concentration in Jazz, R&B, and The American Songbook. With a love for improvisation and songwriting, Kieran's musical pursuits present a unique blend of the past and present, as she merges her deep understanding of jazz history with her contemporary sensibilities, impressive mastery of technique, and diverse textural adaptability. Her debut album “Loving You”, released in July 2025 on Vancover based label Cellar Live received the highest reviews from Jazz critics.

Kieran’s love of Jazz began at the age of 16, while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Her experience studying jazz at Berklee turned out to be a pivotal moment in her career, empowering her to dedicate her life studying and preserving this music.

Since moving to NYC in April 2023, Kieran has performed at many historic venues including Madison Square Garden, Mezzrow Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club, Birdland Jazz Club, and she made her international debut in London in 2024. She has worked with world renowned musicians like Joe Farnsworth, Benny Benack III, Tony Glausi, Emmet Cohen, former members of the John Pizzarelli Quartet Konrad Paszkudski and Mike Karn and many others.

Kieran's debut in Canada (and Calgary!) is a cause for celebration. This is an artist with a deep knowledge of the Great American Songbook and the concert will be a rare chance to hear a NYC jazz vocalist in the early stages of what is destined to be a very special career in jazz worldwide.
