Bring your child/ren along to create their very own Huggy Mug that will be glazed and fired! (Lots of examples). Parents welcome to join in for the cost of an extra child’s ticket. 3.30-4.30pm Sat July 11th at I Am Healing Gifts Shop, Coomera near the Boathouse TavernDuring this fun pottery class, you and/or your child/children will learn how to create a beautiful personalised huggy mug only limited by their imagination. They’ll feel that sense of pride and accomplishment when drinking from a cute mug they’ve created themselves. The children don't need any prior experience in pottery to join this event, so don't worry if you or your kids are new to clay! We'll guide you through the entire process, ensuring that you feel confident and supported every step of the way. This class is super easy and suitable for all ages from toddlers to teens, so feel free to bring the tribe.
During the class, you'll learn how to mould and shape the clay, as well as various techniques for adding texture, detail, and personality to your Huggy Mug. Use our examples as a guide, or create a theme unique to you. Then leave the rest to Wendy from Lil Miss Potty Mouth who will glaze and fire your creations so that they will be food safe, waterproof, dishwasher/microwave safe and durable to last for many years to come.
Working with clay can be a calming, grounding, and therapeutic activity, allowing you to tap into your creativity and focus on the present moment. As you create your piece, you'll find yourself immersed in the process, experiencing a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, and deepening your parent-child bond through this fun and creative shared experience.
At the end of the class, you'll be amazed at what you've achieved and your family could have a cute collection of unique huggy mugs to use on a daily basis.
