Get ready to make some memories - don't forget to bring your camera!
Please read all details
This is going to be a fun day! Your child will have the opportunity to paint a beautiful wooden box that measures 4" x 5" x 12". They can paint whatever they want on and/or in the box. Aprons will be provided but please dress for a mess! We'll be outside ( we have a covered area in case of rain) so dress accordingly. We'll be using acrylic, water-based paint and all supplies will be provided.
After painting their wooden box, they will go to the next station in the greenhouse to fill FOUR, 3" pots with dirt. They will then choose from a variety of seeds and be given instructions on how deep to plant the seed, how to care for their planted seed and how to plan for the future plant on its way! Some examples of seeds to choose from include varieties of pumpkins, watermelons, beans, cucumbers, corn, squashes, cantloupe, peas, flowers and more! We'll talk about bees and their role in pollinating and whatever seed your child chooses will come with an "information" page so you can help them with the process. The best part - the pots we're planting are 100% clear plastic so your child can watch the roots develop and grow big!
Spring on the farm is our favorite, come watch the new little calves run around and chase each other and we'll have bags of marshmallows if your child wants to feed the piglets! This is going to be a great day!
Our greenhouse will also be BURSTING with a wide variety of veggie starts so all you gardeners out there can shop while you're here! Red Chair Farm has one of the LARGEST variety of veggie starts in the area and this year we've added even MORE!
Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Refunds available with advanced notice, minus 3rd party small ticket fee. Please contact Red Chair Farm directly as Eventbrite does not forward messages to hosts.
