Kids fly Free - Young Eagles Rally at KDLZThis is our first one of two this season.
1. Please preregister your child (ages 8-17) at https://www.eaachapters.org/event-details/DM3339YKU
We are doing this on preregistration only. No walk up registrations will be accepted due to limited resources on our end. Total registration is limited - so please sign up. Positions fill quickly.
2. The public is welcomed, especially to the Pancake Breakfast from 8:00am – 11:00am. Eggs are cooked to order, along with pancakes and sausage. Milk, Orange Juice, Water and Coffee are also provided. All we ask is a donation in return. This is EAA Chapter 1600’s primary fund raiser. Come out, eat a great breakfast, watch airplanes come and go, and meet some new friends.
3. A Legal Guardian is required to sign the Young Eagle release form. Unfortunately, Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, older siblings, friends, etc can’t sign the release. If they pretend to be a legal guardian and sign the form, it voids the insurance policy that is provided to us by EAA. Please print the form out online and have a parent sign it. There is an option to print the form during the registration process.
4. The flights are free to the youth. You can find out more about Young Eagles and the benefits EAA provides at http://youngeagles.org
5. Parents don’t fly with their children. We do try to accommodate requests to keep siblings and/or friends on the same flight.
6. Flights are dependent on the weather, so if the cloud ceiling is too low, the winds are too high, or there are storms in the area, we can’t conduct flights. We may just wait a bit if we think the weather may improve or we could be forced to cancel the event in its entirety. If you preregister, you’ll get an email if we cancel the event due to weather before the event. Safety is always our first concern.
