🎣Catch & Release Youth Fishing Derby🎣 - Join us at Peace Valley Park, Doylestown PA, for a fun and family-friendly fishing derby designed for children ages 5–15! Participants will compete in four age categories, making it a great experience for anglers of all skill levels.
Prizes will be awarded within each age group, and a special trophy will be presented for the largest catch of the day. Whether your child is a seasoned angler or trying it for the first time, this event is all about enjoying the outdoors, learning new skills, and having fun.
Bring your gear, your enthusiasm, and get ready for a great day by the water!
Kid’s Father’s Day Fishing Derby 🎣
Celebrate Father’s Day with a morning of fishing and family fun at Angler’s Pier!
Join us on Sunday, June 21, 2026, for our annual catch-and-release fishing derby for kids. This event is designed to create lasting memories while encouraging a love for the outdoors.

Event Schedule
- Check-in: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM
- Fishing Time: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Event Details
- Open to children ages 5–15 (grouped by age category)
- Catch-and-release format
- Prizes awarded in each age group
- Trophy for the largest catch
- No fishing license required
- Free coffee and donuts will be provided to participants ☕🍩
Registration
- Pre-registration is required by June 20, 2026
What to Bring
- Bucket (required to transport fish safely to the weigh station)
- Fishing pole
- Net
- Bait (garden worms recommended)
- Barbless hooks
Limited bait and buckets will be available, but bringing your own equipment is strongly encouraged. A spin-cast (push-button) rod is recommended for ease of use.
Important Information
- Rain or shine event (may be canceled in the event of thunderstorms)
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or adult (18+)
- All Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission rules and regulations apply
