Drawing Ages 7-98 Sundays

This program is designed for students ages 7-9 and is focused on learning various drawing techniques, which will then be utilized at the end of class. Students will begin by learning shading methods, value consideration, texture exploration, perspective basics, and more using both pen and pencil. They will then explore using materials like ink, charcoal, conte, and pastels.
Each week participants will spend about an hour learning a new technique and then the last hour exploring the technique using their subject matter of choice.
Basic Supply List Required:
• Pencils: 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 8B
• Pens: waterproof, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7
• Fine tip marker, waterproof
• Eraser: 1 White and 1 kneadable
• Sketchbook: 9x12 mixed media, minimum 90 lb paper
• Ruler: 12+ in
• Pencil sharpener

• Week 1: Shading and values
• Week 2: Texture exploration
• Week 3: Perspective – 1 point
• Week 4: Figure drawing
• Week 5: Perspective – 2 point
• Week 6: Gesture Drawing
• Week 7-8: Material exploration (charcoal, ink, pastels).
