Afro-Brazilian capoeira is the intersection of dance, acrobatics, martial arts, music, and culture. In capoeira classes students develop physically, emotionally, and mentally as they train Capoeira’s challenging movements, learn to play traditional instruments, sing music in Portuguese, and apply their training in an exciting improvised “game” that helps students develop their personal strength, response time, creativity, courage, and self-expression.
