About this Event
You used to make things.
Maybe you wrote, or designed, or painted in watercolour, or built stuff for fun. Maybe you had a project that excited you, something that was just yours. Then life got busy. The idea went in a notebook and the notebook went in a drawer.
Sound familiar?
Kickstart Your Side Project is a relaxed lunchtime session for anyone in Brighton who’s got a creative side project they want to start, restart, or get unstuck on. Bring your idea (even if it’s barely formed) and your laptop or your notebook. We'll have sketching materials on hand if you need them.
What’ll happen:
- A short solo exercise to figure out what’s stopping you getting started or making progress (and what the smallest possible next step looks like)
- Paired conversations with other creatives who’ll ask you the right questions
- A 20-minute creative sprint where you actually start working on your project
- A chance to share what you made and commit to your next step out loud
- New connections with people who are also making things on the side
Expect good people, good conversation, and a bit of structure to help you get going.
