Picture it: a cold drink in your hand, the Merrimack River rolling by, and Soul Rebel Project laying down live reggae as the sun goes down. That's how we're kicking off one of the best weekends of the summer — and we want you on board.
This year we're making it extra special. The brand new Captain's Lady is hitting the water for the very first time — her maiden summer — and we can't think of a better way to christen her than with a party. She's fresh, she's beautiful, and she's ready to party.
Three hours. Live music. Full bar. Good people. The perfect way to kick off the Fourth.
Good to know
- Doors (gangplank?) open at 5:45 PM — don't be the person who misses the boat. Literally.
- The Captain's Lady sets sail at 6:00 PM sharp. We will leave without you.
- Dress for the water — it's July but the Merrimack has opinions. Bring a light layer.

Is this really a brand new boat? Yes! The Captain's Lady is making her maiden voyage this summer — you'll literally be among the first people ever to cruise on her. That's something to brag about.
What kind of music is Soul Rebel Project? Roots reggae, rhythm & soul — the perfect soundtrack for a summer night on the water. Look them up, you won't be disappointed.
Is there a bar on board? Full bar on board. Drinks are available for purchase throughout the cruise.
What should I wear? Summer casual — but bring a light jacket. It gets breezy on the water even in July.
Where do I park? 40 Merrimac St, Newburyport, right next to Tuscan Sea Grill. Street parking is available in the area as well as the Newburyport garage.
What if it rains? We sail rain or shine. Grab a poncho and embrace it — half the fun is being out there regardless.
Can I buy tickets at the door? Nope — Eventbrite only, and once we're sold out we're sold out. Grab yours now.
