Organised by Keyworth Parish Council, the event promises to be a standout in the local calendar, offering a vibrant mix of seasonal entertainment, crafts, music, and community spirit.More than 30 local crafters and makers will be showcasing their creations, with the Village Hall and Car Park transformed into a lively festive market. Visitors can browse a wide selection of handcrafted items perfect for Christmas shopping while supporting local artisans.
In the Village Square, traditional carol singing will fill the air, creating a joyful backdrop to the festivities. Warm up with mulled wine or a comforting hot chocolate as you soak in the festive atmosphere.
Several community venues will be joining the celebrations. At St. Mary Magdalene Church, children’s crafts and festive stalls will be on offer, while Keyworth Abundance returns with their much-loved homemade preserves, hot food, fruit crumbles, and craft displays.
One of the day’s standout attractions is George Martyn’s Barn at 31 Main Street. Step into The Spirit of Christmas by Candlelight, a magical experience set in a 17th-century barn. Enjoy Christmas-themed displays, browse a local history publication, watch live craft demonstrations, and meet the elves in this charming setting.
Young visitors will also have the chance to meet Father Christmas, a truly magical moment, and families can join in the community singing and celebrations throughout the afternoon.
Other venues across the village will also be taking part. The Parochial Hall will feature stalls by local makers. Drop into the Centenary Lounge where the local Macmillan volunteers will be serving delicious homemade cakes and refreshments a perfect spot to recharge before continuing your festive journey. The Salutation will welcome visitors with food, drinks, and stalls from local makers, and the Methodist Church will also be opening its doors, making this a truly village-wide event.
Throughout Advent, Churches Together will be hiding Angel tree decorations around the village. Why not take part in the Christmas Trail? Scan the QR codes to follow the Nativity story, and everyone who completes the trail will receive a small gift.
