Widely recognized as “one of the important Chopin pianists of our time” (Fanfare Magazine) and a top prize winner at both the International Chopin and Tchaikovsky Competitions, world-renowned Kevin Kenner makes a rare appearance in Cleveland who joins award-winning Callisto Quartet for Chopin Brillante, a program featuring Chopin’s concert works arranged for piano and chamber ensemble.Created by Kenner and Dombek, these arrangements offer audiences a rare chance to experience Chopin’s beloved masterpieces in an intimate chamber setting, revealing clarity, color, and balance distinct from their original orchestral versions. The performance highlights both the brilliance of Chopin’s writing and expressive depth of Kenner's artistry which The Washington Post has described as “powerful and eloquent.”
During his residency, Mr. Kenner will also be teaching a piano masterclass on Sunday, January 25 from 1-4 PM in Dodero Center for Performing Arts at the Gilmour Academy.
