After his dad died of cirrhosis, Kevin Casey White wrote the first truly personal joke of his life, not because he wanted to, but because he needed to. That joke carried him through grief and quietly shaped his voice as a comedian.
In this new hour, Kevin revisits that moment, talking through family, alcoholism, and the strange relief of laughing when you’re not supposed to. He reflects on how stand-up became a survival tool and what it means to finally put that first joke to rest. Filmed live as a first draft on March 19th at the Lyric Hyperion in Los Angeles, Good Grief is reflective, irreverent, and deeply personal.
