Throatsnapper is a mixture of doom and sludge metal with some black metal guitar riffs in the atmospheric parts. Slow, rolling drums, accompanied by guttural voice and anguished screams turn into beautiful atmospheric darkened melodies and back to calmer parts that lull you as a listener into thinking that everything will be alright, but in fact, nothing will ever be alright again

This Brussels-based band draws from contemporary acts in post-rock and doom metal, but also noise rock, hardcore and progressive music. It transforms these influences by injecting walloping arrangements, impactful contrasts, destabilizing rhythms and crushing noise into the canvas.
