An Invitation Into Surreal Worlds: A Digital Collage ExhibitionStep inside a collection of surreal, story-driven digital collages that feel like intimate snapshots from imagined worlds—each one anchored by a central character (or characters) and layered with symbolism, wordplay, and emotion.
This exhibition presents a body of work rooted in introspection and curiosity. Titles often employ playful double meanings, while select pieces are paired with poetry or song lyrics to deepen and clarify the underlying concepts. Much of the work is process-driven, allowing the images to evolve organically, though recurring themes emerge—ranging from idioms and vintage/Victorian aesthetics to recent explorations of dystopian imagery.
The artist’s path to collage has been anything but linear. Beginning with portrait sketching in childhood, they later pursued degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and went on to work in early childhood education—an experience that continues to inform the work through its celebration of imagination, wonder, and openness. After returning to art in recent years, photography became a gateway back to creative expression, eventually transforming into layered collage using public-domain and found imagery.
What unites this diverse body of work is a sense of playfulness, fluidity, and an appreciation for the beauty hidden in everyday moments.
Visitors can expect a visually rich, cerebral, and emotionally resonant experience—one that invites multiple interpretations and rewards lingering.
