Keola Beamer & Henry KaponoWed, Jan 28, 7:30pm
The Shedd Institute, Eugene, OR
Hawaiian music legends Keola Beamer and Henry Kapono were each a seminal voice in the “Hawaiian Renaissance”, the 1970s cultural movement in that brought the language, music, dance, and all aspects of Hawai'ian culture back to their central place in the life of the Islands, and have been creative forces ever since. They make their 4th Jaqua Concert Hall appearance, accompanied as always by kumu hula (hula master) Moanalani Beamer, to create a soul-stirring celebration of contemporary Hawaiian music, allowing audiences to be transported to the Big Island without ever leaving their seats!
Join us for Dinners At Six before the show!
Thank you to our sponsors, The Eye Center and King Estate, for this concert.
