About this Event
Kendo ('way of the sword') is a martial art descended from kenjutsu (classical sword arts) used by the samurai warriors of feudal Japan. It's a traditional style of fencing that's practised for fitness and personal development.
If you're a beginner or looking to return to Kendo after a break, this course is perfect for anyone looking to improve their skills and knowledge of this traditional Japanese martial art.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics of Kendo, from mastering the proper stance to wielding the bamboo sword with precision. Sign up and join us for a fun and rewarding experience.
By the end of this course, you'll be ready to safely strike an opponent/partner, and will be well on the way to practicing in armour.
