Children and families are greatly impacted when a parent is incarcerated. The strain it puts upon families and communities is tremendous. Once again, Keiki O Ka ‘Āina Family Learning Centers is hosting the Strengthening Families Affected by Incarceration (SFAI) Summit. The focus will be on strategies to lessen the impact of parental incarceration on children, families, and communities, and how to reinforce the importance and lasting impact of cultural approaches to prevent recidivism. Join us as we delve into this issue and meet those who work to support the reunification and strengthening of children and families.
