Taking place beneath the historic Keighley Royal Arcade, which is a hidden Victorian street preserved underground.The underground area used to be an actual street with shops and stables in the late 1800s. When the arcade was built around 1900, the original street level was covered over, leaving the old shopfronts and passageways sealed underneath.
For more than a century it stayed hidden until builders accidentally rediscovered it during renovations in 2002.
Inside they found Original Victorian and Edwardian shop fronts, Old stable pens and cellar rooms, Period signage, and windows and doors still intact
After it reopened for tours and events, visitors and staff started reporting strange experiences, such as Unexplained footsteps in empty corridors, Cold spots and sudden temperature drops, Lights flickering or objects moving, Dark shadow figures seen in the passageways.
