About this Event
Nature for HEART is a project funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme and the PH Holt Foundation. We’re delivering a series of events and activities designed to get more people active on Rimrose Valley, connecting with each other and the park’s nature.
We would like to invite you to join us to collect litter and to help tackle some of the very few 'grot spots' on Rimrose Valley.
These new litter-picking sessions will alternate between weekends and mid-week to help us reach as many people as possible, and require just one hour of your time. It would be great to welcome some new faces - old, young and everything in between!
Project funding enables us to offer free refreshments and cover volunteer expenses, such as the cost of public transport to / from the activity.
What you need to know...
- We will have litter pickers, bags and a large trolley to save people carrying full bags over long distances.
- Wherever possible, please bring your own protective gloves. We will have a limited supply of these.
- Please wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and old clothes.
So, why not come along, meet new people, and make a difference by enhancing the local environment?
IMPORTANT: Bad weather can lead to the cancellation of these sessions, sometimes at short notice. If you're registered via Eventbrite we'll email you on the morning of the activity. Alternatively, to check whether it’s happening, look out for a post on our Facebook page:
