Keep Calm and Meditate - Mindfulness for Beginners Spring Course

Welcome to "Keep Calm and Meditate" – a meditation course designed for beginners seeking to explore mindfulness and cultivate inner peace. Over four weeks, we'll explore four sessions dedicated to mindfulness practice:

Session 1: Keep Calm and Unleash Mindfulness
Session 2: Keep Calm and Ride the Emotion Rollercoaster
Session 3: Keep Calm and Ignite Heart Wisdom
Session 4: Keep Calm and Infuse Mindfulness into the World

This is my practicum course, marking my inaugural journey as an instructor. I'm thrilled to share this experience, learn alongside you, and welcome your feedback. Portions of the sessions will be recorded for evaluation by my mentor as I work towards becoming a certified meditation teacher under Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.

I am Meehow (this the phonetic spelling of my name actual name Michał). Born and raised in Poland, I've embarked on a journey that's taken me across continents. From France to Switzerland, the UK to Germany, and even Japan, I've embraced diverse cultures and experiences. As a gay man, an immigrant, and someone who speaks with an accent, I understand the complexities of navigating identity and belonging.

Alongside these aspects, I also grapple with emotions like anxiety, anger or melancholy —states of mind that I've learned to recognize and observe without immediate reactivity (though success isn't always guaranteed). Through mindfulness and meditation, I've found solace and strength, and I'm excited to share these transformative practices with you on our journey together.
