About this Event
Queens of KC brings together two of Kansas City's most captivating performers for a night that showcases the depth and range of the city's music scene.
J Love (Jaime Chase) is one of KC's most sought-after live performers, known for her gritty, commanding vocals and magnetic stage presence. Originally from Kennett, Missouri, she grew up singing in church and has built a reputation rooted in the greats — Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Etta James — delivered with a style all her own.
Jazzy Jazz Miyagi came to the U.S. from Okinawa, Japan on a full scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music and continued at Berklee College of Music, studying under Lois Schafer of the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony Orchestra. She's performed with Chaka Khan, Herbie Mann, Joe Sample, and Miroslav Vitous of Weather Report, and was chosen as a soloist for the grand opening of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. A multi-instrumentalist on flute, classical guitar, and the ancient Japanese koto, she brings world-class musicianship to every stage.
Together, these two queens deliver a show that's equal parts fire and finesse. Two sets.
