About this Event
Join NOMAKC and Of the Valley Creative for an interactive art workshop to explore abundant imagination and creativity as tools for social change. In this 90-min. session, you will learn to harness the power of memory, intuition, and visualization through creating a personalized art piece.
We will begin by introducing the work of Dr. Ruha Benjamin and Mariame Kaba. We will then break out into small groups with NOMAKC facilitators to discuss the key themes from Imagination: A Manifesto and We Do This ‘Til We Free Us: Abolitionist Organizing and Transforming Justice, while working through a hands-on art activity with guidance from Lillian Cooper with Of the Valley Creative.
GENERAL PUBLIC TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED. THESE LIMITED TICKETS ARE MEANT FOR NOMA MEMBERS ONLY.
