About this Event
Kay Creatives
Every Thursday 1.00-2.30pm for 6 Weeks (Thursday 13th June - 18th July 2024)
Inspired by my recent visit to Collioure in the South of France, we will be studying the Fauvists. Henri Matisse and André Derain spent the summer of 1905 in this little fishing port and started a whole new art movement called Fauvisim. This term we will be exploring the work of these two artists and trying out different techniques, looking at the world through a lense of pure colour! Weather permitting, we will be going on local field trips and working outside.
If your child can bring the following resources to every class that would be very helpful (though I do have limited spares):
- Set of sketching pencils (4H-6B)
- Sharpener
- Rubber
- A4/A3 sketchpad (200gsm-300gsm)
Paints, pens and other materials will be provided.
For those who are new to the class, I am a qualified teacher with DBS, insurance and I am a qualified first aider.
I hope you decide to join this term, I look forward to meeting you all,
Kay : )
