Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter and author Katy Tessman will take her storytelling and songcraft on the road this summer with a six-date debut New England tour, spanning Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. The run adds to her growing national footprint, marking her 27th state performed (and counting).Since her 2023 album "Fly" and 2025 EP "Turnbuckles," Tessman’s Mama-Americana style — celebrating life’s stumbles and summits — has earned praise from RnR Magazine as “a quietly inspiring pleasure” and from Americana UK for her “striking, pure country voice.” In addition to her music career, she is an award-winning children’s book author and a Minnesota Women’s Press Changemaker.
Known for her heartfelt songwriting and ability to create meaningful connections with audiences, Tessman’s work bridges music and narrative in a way that feels both intimate and expansive. Her performances invite listeners into stories rooted in real life, blending warmth, reflection, and a deep sense of place.
The New England tour marks a continued chapter of growth for Tessman as both a touring artist and multidisciplinary creator. Audiences can expect an engaging live experience centered on her original songs, delivered with the sincerity and presence that have become hallmarks of her work.
