Join us for a 5-week Beginner Kathak Course in the Jaipur Gharana style, right here in South Auckland.
This course is perfect for absolute beginners, as well as anyone who wants to revisit and strengthen their basics. We’ll move step by step, building rhythm, clarity, and confidence together in a supportive space.

What You’ll Learn
- Basic footwork (Tatkar)
- Hand movements (Hastas)
- Basic spins (Chakkars)
- Introduction to storytelling (Abhinaya)
- Understanding rhythm and Taal
Each week builds on the previous one, so by the end of the course, you’ll feel grounded in the fundamentals of Kathak.
