During this presentation Kate will discuss composition, light, and storytelling. As well as highlight a few tips to get more from your mobile phone’s camera.

Kate will share a few of her go-to camera replacement apps, as well as do a live editing demonstration in Lightroom Mobile.

ABOUT KATE HAILEY

Kate Hailey is a freelance photographer and photography educator based in Seattle, WA.

Kate’s love of photography started at a very young age, with artistic and musical influences from both her father and mother, she was bound for creative pursuits. As a teenager, she began to learn the art of lighting, as a photo assistant.

Kate is an avid mobile photographer and truly believes the best camera is the one that is with you. Since 2009, Kate has captured over 200,000 images with an iPhone, in 2012, she began teaching workshops on The Art of Mobile Photography.

Kate leads workshops, photowalks, and photo tours, focusing on topics she holds dear, from lighting and portraiture, to travel and exploring creative techniques. Kate is an ambassador for Lensbaby and a contributor to blogs of brands like Lensbaby and Exposure by Alien Skin, as well as SLR Lounge, Digital Photography School, FujiLove, and beyond.
