“Big stupid dreams”, the debut album from kase studies will be released on bandcamp, Elasticstage and streaming platforms on Friday 3rd July. Join us in Sheffield at The Hallamshire Hotel on 1st July to celebrate its release. CDs and limited merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. kase studies:“kase studies” is the alt-rock/country musical project from Sheffield-based singer/songwriter Kase Allen. What was initially conceived as a solo vehicle for Kase’s catchy, melancholic acoustic songs has now blossomed into a full 5 piece band. Drawing inspiration from numerous US rock bands such as REM, Wilco and The Lemonheads, the band combines sing-a-long melodies with Kase’s dry, self-deprecating lyrics about life’s more perplexing issues. The band’s debut album, “Big stupid dreams” is due to be released on 3rd July. Blackwater Lightship:Blackwater Lightship are Tom Roberts, Leon Lockley, Daniel Oram, and Simon Roberts. A quartet who’s sound ranges from delicate folk rock acoustic arrangements to a full on grungy, experimental assault on the senses.2025 saw the release of their debut EP "Last night I Saw the Leaves Fall" that received critical praise backed up with several well received headline shows. As we head into 2026 Blackwater Lightship are currently recording their new single for release!
Ordinary Joes:Ordinary Joe's will brighten your day with an upbeat light- hearted and slightly crazy mix of country, swing, Cajun, and Tex-Mex. Songs about drinking, rodeos, trains, love and bank robberies. And drinking. Haymakers:Haymakers are a folk rock trio who blend traditional tunes with classic blues and contemporary rock to produce a rip-roaringly unique sound. A quote from their last gig “It would have still been good even if my expectations had been higher” (Dom, 41).Expect punchy covers from the likes of Pogues, Petty, Stones and Dylan (to name but a few) and a good helping of Irish Trad played loud and fast
