Kasango has quickly risen to become a truly global DJ, performing over 120 shows across every continent in the past year. His success is driven by pure passion and relentless hard work — a combination that shines through his magnetic smile and soulful, high-energy performances that connect deeply with crowds worldwide.

Born Kasmario Thulani Ike Fankis in Welkom, South Africa, Kasango was destined for music. At just 16, he discovered house music and instantly fell in love. Inspired by South Africa’s thriving electronic scene and pioneers like Black Coffee, he devoted himself fully to the craft. “Growing up in South Africa was amazing — I got to experience dance music from all over the world,” he says. “When I saw Black Coffee perform in 2009, I knew I wanted to be a DJ.”

Kasango’s breakthrough came in 2019 when his debut track “One Night” (feat. Jamie Fallon Smith) was featured on Black Coffee’s Appreciation Mix, earning him widespread recognition. His hit “Osama” featuring Grammy Award–winning artist Zakes Bantwini became a global anthem, earning BBC Radio 1’s Essential New Tune by Pete Tong. The support continued, with Pete Tong awarding him another Essential New Tune in 2024 for his remix of London band TMPLE.

In 2025, Kasango released “Fire Fire”, a collaboration with Shimza and AR/CO, which became one of the summer’s biggest hits, surpassing 30 million streams in just four months.

With more musical highlights on the way and the upcoming launch of his own label, KASA Music, Kasango continues to elevate the global Afro-house movement — spreading rhythm, energy, and soul wherever he plays.
