KARYN KUHL first received national acclaim for her early bands Gut Bank and Sexpod, growing out of the vibrant Hoboken music scene and the legendary club Maxwell's. (“Gut Bank’s The Dark Ages is one exceptional debut album.” — Robert Palmer, New York Times). Over the past 20 years she has released 10 LP’s,EP’s and singles and performs both as a solo act and leading the Karyn Kuhl Band. Currently at work on a new album, Kuhl released two songs on Dromedary Records No Traces/The Tower in April 2024 ( “Here we find her delivering a strong pair of songs that make one hopeful for an LP. The a-side is a solid confessional rocker while the flip is a darker cinematic trip. Grab this!”- The Big Takeover) The third single "Cat Swamp Road," is out now on all streaming platforms & available for download on karynkuhl.bandcamp.com.( “ We know Karyn Kuhl can howl with the best of them. How divine that she can also create such a powerful experience with a song that barely rises above a whisper.”-The Constant Listener/ jimtestanjsubstack.com) ( “Kuhl’s elegant and hypnotic voice and colorful melodies make her solemn and evocative songs about heartbreak and alienation linger after each listen.”- Cindy Stagoff njarts.net)

Karyn will be performing with her dynamic full band for this show. Lou Ciarlo on bass, Charlie Nieland on guitar, Billy Loos on percussion & Jonpaul Pantozzi on drums.

Charlie Nieland has been mixing up an atmospheric combination of songwriting and sonic exploration for decades. He has written for and produced such artists as Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie and Scissor Sisters, as well as scoring the feature film ‘The Safety of Objects’ (with Glenn Close). His fourth solo album, Stories From The Borderlines, arrived fall of 2025. “A spectacular journey... This isn’t just music; it’s a thoughtful, brooding meditation that truly delivers a sense of optimism and a vision for a brighter tomorrow” ~ The Spill Magazine

Known for her distinctive voice, literally and artistically, Renee Maskin is a staple of the thriving music scene in Asbury Park, NJ. Her prolific output pulls from a deep well of influence, from country, to garage, to modern indie-rock. Maskin has notably opened for a wide range of acts, including Jon Langford (Mekons), William Tyler, Del Amitri, Tyler Ramsey, Jill Sobule, and toured with her former group, Lowlight, in support of The Pretenders. Maskin was named “Female Artist of the Year 2025” by The Aquarian.
