An avid collector and player of all things vinyl, Karina's passion lies in the authentic essence of raw Chicago and Detroit house music. Her distinct style seamlessly merges elements from both, infusing them with the minimalist, forward-thinking grooves of European deep house that define her sound. Unafraid to diverge from
convention and constantly exploring beyond the boundaries of traditional house and techno paradigm, her vinyl collection is seductive and laid-back, captivating listeners with its hypnotic charm while maintaining an unwavering, energizing rhythm.
Karina although best known for her hypnotic performances at intimate venues, has no problem turning it up a notch with electrifying sets at events such as Kazantip Republic Festival (Ukraine) on the main stage in front of thousands of people. Her ability to mix any vinyl from disco to techno has had her commanding dance floors in many exotic destinations from Cape Town (That's What She Said) to Tijuana (Deck 22). Her
prestigious residencies at Analog Room in Dubai as well as at Electric Monday at Kitkat Berlin and Morning Beat in Oslo are solid proof of her ability to engage with a live audience. Releases on Chicago based label "God Particle’, “Cymawax BCN’ as well as music on the NYC imprint 'Absence Seizure', clearly display her
insatiable passion for music and evolving technical production skills.
Karina's first trip to New York in 2009 sparked a collaboration between Ibiza's renowned open-air event, The Zoo Project, and Brooklyn's esteemed underground scene, including Blk Market warehouse parties. For consecutive years, she journeyed to the city to grace various industrial spaces and established venues
alongside esteemed artists like Robag Wruhme, Seth Troxler, and Daniel Bell, among others. As the inaugural DJ at the legendary Panther Room, Karina has since embarked on frequent North American tours, enchanting audiences at iconic events such as Housepitality in San Francisco, Creme de la Creme in Dallas,
Smart Bar in Chicago, and the Eaton Hotel in Washington, DC. In the vibrant tapestry of New York City, her musical prowess spans from house and techno sets at venues like Brooklyn Mirage, Elsewhere and TBA Brooklyn to disco-infused performances at intimate Manhattan locales such as Nublu Classic.
The birth of the C&K project, in collaboration with NYC native and Resolute resident Connie Yin in late 2018, marked a significant milestone. The duo united to close out the final month of its residency at the iconic Panther Room in Williamsburg. Embracing a bold and assured approach, C&K seamlessly merge diverse
sonic textures, exploring the realms of 4/4 beats and unquantified live minimal arrangements. Following the success of their debut EP, "C&K Behave," released on Decay Records in both vinyl and digital formats, the duo anticipates forthcoming releases and is in the process of establishing their own vinyl imprint.
