Join us for our monthly Karaoke night and salon. With "third spaces" dwindling and fear and isolation increasing, it's time to fight back by simply gathering together, being in one another's lives, and creating community where we can.We gather on the third Monday of each month to make some joyful noise, fill some bellies, and connect. Don't wanna sing? No problem. It's an accepting, low-pressure, and supportive environment. Lurkers are most welcome.
Last month, I brought my Nintendo Switch for some group gaming. That was appreciated, but we had some bad controllers. I'm gonna buy some more and Lisa said there's a permanent projector in the works, so gaming is gonna be an ongoing option moving forward.
The space is warm and large. Excellent food will be provided. BYOB if you want to, and sharing is always appreciated, but this is not a drinking-forward event - sobriety is genuinely respected. Queer-friendly, queer-run event. Free and open to the public. Ample parking in the VCFA lots or on the street. Masks are available but not required.
