We have officially lined up an amazing group of OuttaSight Ambassadors for the 2026 KAOS Adventure Weekend. Now it's time to find amazing families to complete a weekend never to forget.OuttaSight Ambassadors are US Veterans from across the country who are blind or vision impaired. Each summer TRR OuttaSight Ambassadors are paired with families who have a child who is blind or vision impaired. The OuttaSight Ambassadors serve as role models, promoting independence through camping and kayaking.
This event is open to students considered to be blind or vision impaired who have completed kindergarten through high school and their families. YES that includes siblings.
The adventure begins on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 am and continues through Sunday, July 26th at 2:00 pm.
All kayaking equipment will be available for individuals of all ages, sizes, and abilities. In addition a limited amount of camping gear is also available to families needing such equipment.
All meals, snacks, instruction, equipment, and lodging is FREE!!! Although if you are financially in a place where you can make a donation we would be eternally grateful.
The program was designed by a Teacher of the Visually Impaired / Orientation and Mobility Specialists, plus Team River Runner endorsed kayak instructors. Several team members are CPR / First Aid / Wilderness First Aid and Swift Water Rescued training.
