We’re delighted that Rick has agreed to return and complete the presentation that was cut short by the power outage at our July Winter Gathering. The presentation, covering the years 1802 to 1836, will explore a lesser-known chapter in the history of Kangaroo Island & South Australia. In addition to discussing the thriving sealskin and salt trades, Rick will delve into the murder of Captain George Meredith and its significance. It will also highlight the spontaneous and dynamic interactions between the colonisers and the colonised. Please bring your own lunch - tea & coffee provided.
