Led by local Tanzanian artist Natasha Sweeting, explore this garment’s rich history, cultural meaning, and vibrant visual language — then create your own painted Kanga inspired composition to take home. This workshop welcomes anyone with an interest in art, colour, textiles and cultural history. Suitable for ages 12+, and no prior artistic experience is required. All materials are provided, including acrylic paints, brushes & 40cm x 60cm canvas panel.The Shires close their doors at 6pm so entry must be before then. If you arrive late and cannot get in, we cannot offer a refund. at the end of the session we will all be leaving the build together by the Asda entrance to the Shires.
