Focusing on weaponry: Sticks, Sword, Staff, Knives, Empty-hand drills by Dan Inosanto.This Intro class is a trial session for people interested in our Kali Class, to try a class first before deciding to join us for a term membership. TSKM's Kali Class:
Created to teach the Filipino Martial Art of Kali by Dan Inosanto (along with some JKD/Wing Chun empty-hand drills). This class is for anyone who wants to learn Kali as a standalone martial-art. It is also for any Krav Maga student who would like to become familiar with another fighting-style that can highly compliment their Krav Maga skills - especially when it comes to using a weapon or improvised weapon for self defence.
Topics may include: long staff, sword, single-stick, double-sticks, dagger and empty-hands drills.
Each class will include learning and practicing with training weapons, empty-hand trapping, flow drills, and light sparring. This class is offered in a fun, relaxed and chilled atmosphere, and will greatly help improve any practitioner's flow, speed, coordination, timing, sensitivity, accuracy, awareness, mental agility and fitness, and is highly enjoyable.
You will be taught drills and skills as taught to Instructor Wil by his US-based instructor Steve Brown, a senior instructor from the Inosanto Academy working directly under Dan Inosanto - the renown American martial artist and actor who famously taught (and was taught by) Bruce Lee, from Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, California.
