The Listening Room at The Origami House presents: Kait Rose | An Intimate Acoustic Music Experience
April 17 | Kalamazoo
Doors @ 6:00p Show@ 7:00p
At The Origami House, music becomes more than entertainment—it becomes an experience.
Our Listening Room was created for artists and audiences who crave something quieter, closer, and more meaningful than a traditional concert setting. In this intimate space, musicians perform unplugged or softly amplified, inviting you to truly listen. The building itself—once a house of worship—holds sound in a way that feels warm, resonant, and deeply personal, making it a beautiful place for acoustic music to unfold.
On April 17, we welcome Kait Rose for a special solo performance.
Known for fronting her Americana band The Thorns, Kait is a high-energy performer whose presence easily fills a room. When she steps onto the stage alone, that same power is balanced with remarkable delicacy. Raw, vulnerable, and deeply sincere, Kait delivers songs with her whole heart present in every note.
A prolific songwriter and seasoned guitarist with several albums to her name, Kait shares an impressive emotional and musical range with audiences at every show. Since 2001, she has been performing her original music for listeners across the country—from Chicago and Indianapolis to Seattle and Portland—while remaining a beloved and familiar voice in Southwest Michigan.
For this evening at The Origami House, Kait will offer an intimate, completely acoustic solo set, allowing her songwriting and voice to take center stage in the quiet beauty of The Listening Room.
Kait has shared stages with artists including May Erlewine, Charlie Millard, The Rebel Eves, Heather Maloney, and Erin Zindel. Her performances have appeared at festivals such as Wheatland, Blissfest, and Hoxeyville, and at venues including The Ark (Ann Arbor), The Acorn Theatre (Three Oaks), The Alluvion (Traverse City), and Bell’s Back Room in Kalamazoo.
