Join us for a day of celebrating Waiheke's food culture and stories. This year we have a fantastic speaker line up, including Kate Evans talking about her book 'Feijoa - A story of obsession and belonging'. Highlights will include the return of the 'hangi master' Eugene Behan-Kitto who will be co ordinating the hangi of the kūmara grown at Piritahi māra this year as well as offering to share these skills with those who are keen to learn. We have the launch of a book all about growing kūmara on Waiheke created by Tessa Ryan and the performance of the 'The Giant Kūmara'. Eddie Welsh will be there weighing in the pumpkins plus we'll have our usual produce tables (Best Fruit, Best Veg, Best Flowers and Best Preserves), food carts, workshops and food galore. This event is made possible thanks to funding by the Waiheke Local Board and COGGS.
