Kahvaltı is not only the first meal of the day in Turkey but also the favourite for many Turks. Family and friends gather around the breakfast table to enjoy a leisurely, unhurried meal, accompanied by glasses of çay (Turkish tea) and Turkish coffee. The word "kahvaltı" translates to "before coffee," reflecting the tradition of starting the day with a hearty breakfast before indulging in coffee. This meal has become a deeply cherished ritual and a gesture of hospitality and friendship.
The spread typically includes a variety of cheeses, fresh bread, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, jams, honey, eggs, and an array of other regional delicacies.

Simit - Sesame encrusted bread rings
Çılbır - Turkish style poached eggs with garlicky yoghurt
Kaygana - crepes with spring onion and herbs
Nar eksili zeytin salatası – Olive salad with pomegranate molasses and walnuts
Kuru İncir Reçeli - Dried fig jam
Assortment of cheeses and olives - Beyaz peynir, and kasar cheese
Kuru kayısı tatlısı -Poached dried apricots in light syrup with clotted cream
Türk kahveli mermer kek - Turkish coffee marble cake
