[K-Flow Vol. 1] K-Pop Freestyle Dance Battle

Welcome to K-Flow Vol. 1, an all-styles freestyle dance battle designed to give newcomers a welcoming space to try freestyle battling, and to challenge experienced dancers with a genre that’s often underrepresented in traditional battles!

This is an All Styles 1v1 battle set entirely to K-pop music. And, when we mean K-pop we mean the entire scope of what this genre entails.

Expect dynamic tracks from mainstream K-pop hits to K-hip-hop, and K–R&B and much more! With a mix of popular tracks and even lesser-known gems, especially in the Open Category, we’re ready to keep you on your toes. This is an 18+ event.

We will be hosted by the wonderful Kpubstar in Brixton, a new up and coming bar that offers an unforgettable karaoke experience for k-pop music lovers (and beyond) and korean inspired drink enthusiasts alike. So after the battle please feel free to stick around and sing your hearts out to KARAOKE all night long!

There are Two Categories you can participate in:

✨ (1) Rookie Battle (Beginners)

Open to dancers with less than 1 year of battle experience AND participated in less than 8 battles. Whether you come from a K-pop choreography background, new to battling entirely or have a few battles under your belt, this category is all about giving you the space to grow and experiment with freestyle battling in a supportive community-driven environment.

In particular, we’d love to encourage choreo dancers who may want to try freestyle but never had the opportunity to take part!

In the coming weeks, we'll be releasing guides on “how to battle”, and we'll also be running practice battles and cyphers in the lead-up to the event, so follow us on Instagram (@kflow.battle) and TikTok to stay in the loop!

This category is for dancers ready to level up! Whether you're a battle veteran or a rookie looking for a challenge. This category features a wider range of tracks, including K-hip-hop and K-R&B, pushing you to explore rhythms and grooves outside the usual K-pop spotlight. Show us your style, your groove, and your flow!
