Independent, honest, and human, Kyle “K. Edward” Smith is a singer/songwriter who blends the down-to-earth relatability of indie and folk songs with ideas from the musical margins, resulting in a mix of alt-Americana sounds all his own.
Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, this heavy metal drummer-turned-folk songwriter began recording and releasing solo material in 2019 and has voraciously continued to evolve and experiment since then with the release of his first three full-length albums: "Something Beautiful," "Gravedigging Songs," and "Carnival Street."
Now usually accompanied by his band – “The Thrift Store Orchestra” – or with his acoustic trio, live performances from Smith can range between tender and intimate to psychedelic and raucous. Within the sonic diversity, however, Smith's poetic songwriting sensibilities remain a constant connective thread.
Smith and his musical compatriots just got off the road on the "Echoes of Summer" and they're hungry to get back on stage this Fall!
In addition to touring, Smith is currently wrapping up production on an avant-garde film score set for public release in late 2022.
